Terms of Service

Last updated August 5, 2026

Who you're dealing with

Chad is operated by an individual (a sole proprietor), not a company. Using the service means you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree with them, don’t use it.

Chad is not financial advice

This is the most important thing on this page. Chad is a record-keeping and analytics tool. It is not a broker, not an investment adviser, and does not offer trading advice. Nothing it displays — scores, calibration figures, source track records, or anything else — is a recommendation to place or avoid any trade.

Prediction markets carry real risk of financial loss. Every trading decision you make is yours alone, and you are solely responsible for its outcome. Past accuracy shown in Chad does not predict future results.

Your account

  • You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live, and old enough to use the prediction markets you're recording.
  • Keep your password to yourself; you're responsible for activity under your account.
  • One account per person. Don't share logins.
  • You can delete your account at any time by emailing us.

Your data is yours

You keep all rights to everything you write in Chad. We claim no ownership over your trades, notes or journal entries, and we don’t sell them or use them to train anything. You can export the entire contents at any time from Settings. See the Privacy Policy for exactly what is stored and where.

If you choose to publish a track record, you’re making that specific summary public and you grant us permission to display it for as long as you keep it published.

Subscriptions and payment

Chad has a free tier that works without payment. Chad Pro costs $15 per month, billed through Stripe, and renews automatically each month until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from Settings; cancelling stops future renewals and keeps your access until the end of the period you have already paid for. Refunds are covered in our Refund Policy.

Chad for Algo, listed on the pricing page as “in design”, is not a product you can buy. It has no price, nothing is sold under that name, and asking for it on the waitlist creates no obligation on either side.

If a price changes, we’ll tell you by email before it applies to your subscription, and you’ll have the chance to cancel first.

Acceptable use

Don’t:

  • Break the law with it, or use it to help anyone else do so.
  • Try to access other people's data, or probe the service for vulnerabilities without asking us first.
  • Overload or disrupt the service, including with automated traffic beyond normal use.
  • Resell or redistribute access to a paid account.

We can suspend or close an account that does these things. If we do, we’ll refund any unused portion of a subscription unless the reason was fraud or abuse.

Availability, and the limits of what we promise

Chad is provided “as is”. We work to keep it running and correct, but we don’t guarantee it will be available without interruption, free of bugs, or that any figure it calculates is accurate. Market data comes from third parties (Kalshi, ESPN) and can be wrong, delayed, or unavailable.

Back up your data. Your data lives primarily in your browser, which can delete it — clearing site data, a device failure, or a browser evicting storage will lose anything not exported or backed up. We are not liable for data loss, and we strongly recommend regular exports whether or not you subscribe.

To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim relating to Chad is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for trading losses, lost profits, or indirect or consequential damages. Some jurisdictions don’t allow these limits, in which case they apply only as far as permitted.

Changes and ending

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced by email or in the app before taking effect, and continuing to use Chad after that means accepting them. You may stop using Chad and delete your account at any time. We may discontinue the service, and if we do we’ll give reasonable notice and a chance to export your data.

Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the operator’s state of residence, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Questions: support@chad-brain.com.
